So I have 4 gaming rigs setup at home for LAN parties.  I recently decided to get a new drive for the oldest one, after installing windows 8.1 enterprise, updating, enable all the sharing settings in control panel and sharing the C drive for easy transferring which I do on all the machines including VR desktop, im unable to place anything in the programfilesx86 folder. But I can drop anything I want in the the C:\ directory.  Ive tried from many computers and all have the same issue arises with this one. The error being "you need permission to preform this action"  Ive set the permissions on the C drive to everyone.  Anyone know anything else I can do?

The specs of this machine are

i5 4690k

gigabyte g1 sniper 5 motherboard

3x gtx 480s

rosewill lightning 1300w PSU

8GB Gskill 1600Mhz RAM

Western Digital Blue 1T HDD

The program x86 folder is really wierd sometimes, when i installed steam on that folder, couldnt play any of my games off the other drive

Maybe try abandoning the x86 folder?
