will be gaming at 1080. monitor on part list.

later on I'd like to add two more of the same monitor for a total of 3 screens. The power supply will support a second gpu sli.

this will be my first build. from all my research, this is what I came up with. no need to be gentle.. I'd like your thoughts. thanks.

It all looks good, but r u sure, u can get 100% out of this processor?

Or u're going to render or compute something?

Yes.

And also i needed a better gaming computer as i couldn't even run newer games and as i do a lot of 3D work and rendering i also needed something more powerful.

Going to throw in the usual AMD option, Mostly because for a space sim game, you'll want an IPS panel, and perhaps an ultra wide one

So the build includes a 21:9 Free-sync display, only 1080p though, there's a 1440p version but it's like a thousand dollars, mostly it'll save you more money later on, if you ever get like 3 of them for the full space sim experience of 7680x1080, assuming it supports resolutions of that size.

also it's going to go the direction of DX12 at some point, so AMD cards tend to gain more performance with it, though fury needs some driver optimization.

And do you already have a HOTAS or twin stick set up?

There's also a fair amount of decently priced 4k IPS panels now $500, there's a free-sync 4k IPS panel, but it starts at $700

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

By the time Star Citizen is actually out, you can more than likely spend less than that and max it out.

took a hard look at an amd build. maybe the web is full of haters, but I didn't see it as a viable option. also, picked my monitor for the competition aspect. 144 refresh 1ms delay, 24" seems to be the biggest people suggest for 1080 gaming

hopefully directx 12 will be out and running strong before I make my first purchase. could be a game changer.

not water cooling because I need to be able to travel over seas with my pc. also, don't want to deal with overclocking. I'm new to this pc building stuff

don't know about sticks yet. I like the idea of two sticks..

Welp, for some more perspective, granted the 980ti still beats out the Fury X when it's overclocked, otherwise they're fairly neck and neck

G-sync 1080p 144hz TN, $384

Free-sync, 1080p, 144hz, TN $280

Otherwise if you're looking for the economical solution, then a pair of Saitek 290 pros is what you'd want to do, they each have like 14 buttons on them as well, enough for every function you'd want to do

thank you for the monitor suggestions. I added them to my "undecided" parts list. also, the saitek looks like a good place to start.

Otherwise you'll want like an X52

And there's an X55 with some more buttons, and maybe a little higher build quality, for a bit more cash

not into a throttle. two sticks would be cool. if possible, I'd like to try pedals in the mix.
