i ve read everywhere, that intel cpu's are much better than amd, so im going to get an intel cpu, it also leaves room for upgrades whereas a fx 8350 doesnt.

i need a motherboard under £80 ($120) which is very reliable and can overclock. i will probably gat a i5 4460, this cannot overclock i know, but my future cpu might be able too.

suggestions will be muchly appreciated!

If you want a Z97 motherboard you're going to be spending over 100usd for a good one. At that point it comes down to the rest of your build as each has strengths and weaknesses.

£* You can easily get a MSI Z97 Gaming 3 or MSI SLI krait in that bracket

To be fair, OP hasn't stated if they will need a board that supports SLI or Crossfire.

But here's one that supports both.

85 euros is about a hundred bucks. I wouldn't get a Z97 board without SLI support because the point of getting a Z97 board with a locked CPU is adaptability. So for a few extra bucks if you want to go with duel GPUs you can.

If anyone asks you never saw me.
