Rendering PC Upgrade

Currently I'm using:

 

CPU:i7 3770 non K

MB:MSI Z77A-GD55

RAM: 8GB Corsair Vengeance 2133 MHz

Storage: 2SSDs (256GB Samsung 850 Pro and Crucial M500 240GB) 1x 2TB WD Black and 1x 1TB WD Black

PSU: Corsair Ax 760

 

I've startet to render some vids but I think the CPU is outdatet and I want to upgrade, any thoughts?

5820k if you want to upgrade. I think it's fine though' not unless you're having long loading times or it's affecting the way you do things.

It really depends on your budget but I would recommend an i7 4790k or an i7 4770k. But if you are willing to replace your ram and mother board use an i5 6600k or and i7 6700k.

I hate to shoot you down, but an i5 is not nearly enough horsepower for rendering. But everything else you mentioned is correct. I would also recommend the 5820k-5960x based on your budget.
