I'm trying to decide on a 4k monitor for gaming, and I think I have it narrowed down to ASUS PB287Q or Acer XB280HK (but am certainly open to other suggestions). The lower cost and seemingly better stand quality of ASUS PB287Q has me leaning more toward it but, I don't mind the trade off if G-sync noticably improves performance. To my understanding, G-sync becomes less useful if you already pull consistant high frames, but I'm not sure how well that can be managed at 4k. Especially since this is my first build.

Build

CPU: I7-6700k

GPU: 2-way sli Msi 980ti

RAM: 16gb ddr4
