First PC Custom Build

Go to solution Solved by LordSerpentus,

Get the cheapest 1080p IPS display, there's no reason to spend that much on that display

Do you really need a blu ray drive?

Here'd be my suggestion anyways, it's open to crossfire in the future, and has some room for whatever else you want, otherwise don't forget a microphone and headphones

The case is just my personal preference, but it has Hot Swap Bays if you want to archive your footage.

looks pretty much the same any reasoning behind you selection over mine, beside personal preference?

thanks with the monitor suggestion.

1. Budget & Location
My budget isnt a problem, i'm disabled and on social security, so I've been buying my parts over the course of the last 6 month and i'm now to the more expensive parts. I live in the u.s. so us dollars at work here, lol.

2. Aim
I want this system to be a gaming rig as well as a minor youtube streamer, so i need a little video editing.

3. Monitors
At this time i will start with 1 monitor but i hope to have a 3 monitor set-up in the future. also right now i'm looking at the benqrl2755hm.

4. Peripherals
I don't know what peripherals i will need other than a keyboard and mouse so if somebody could make some recommendation that would be awesome.

here is my purchasing list as is http://pcpartpicker.com/p/tTdhzy

after looking at my purchasing list does anyone see any bottle necks, or some thing way more than is needed, and would be a waste?

remember this is my first build.

i have already purchased the case, motherboard, hdd, ssd, psu, heat-sink, and optical drive.

The processor in mine is an i7, so it has twice the threads of the i5, which will blow it away for streaming and video editing.

Also that 3TB seagate drive is going to die in like a month, gotta go for HGST if you want a lot of storage in a single drive
