Hi.

I am having an issue, where my PC send a lot of multicast packets, causing my network to slow down for all the other peple on my network. Normally, the amount of multicast packets emitted by a client is no more than 20, but for me it's always inflating, going over 9000 after 5 minutes of connection.

I already tried totally reinstalling everything (Asus SafeClean on my SSD an partition removing on my HDD) , testing my hardware with other OS, switching network cards, removing my GPU, switching MoBo's, switching RAM, but the problem is always here.

I also tried looking for a malware, not found any.

So my question is here : Can the CPU create a multicast storm ? Because that the only thing that I couldn't have changed.

Here's my config :

i5 4440S (CPU)

GTX 750 Ti   &   Without (GPU)

Asus M11AD (MotherBoard)

G.Skill Extreme3 1600 Mhz Ripjaws X CAS9    &   OEM 4Gb (RAM)

Kingston SV300 120Gb (SSD)

Toshiba DT01ACA100 (HDD)

Multiple network cards, never all at the same time.

Windows 10 64bits   &   Windows 8.1   &   Debian (OS)

I you know the answer or you have some tests to ask me, answer me.
