Motherboard: Asus X99-A w/ UEFI BIOS

I am trying to install Windows 7 on my newly configured dual-SSD RAID 0. I've read something about having to install the RAID drivers from USB before installing Windows, but unfortunately I've wiped the only drive that had Windows on it. So, how do I do this from either the BIOS or during the Windows install? Or am I missing something? I've never ran a RAID configuration before, never had the need to do it, so I'm brand new to RAID.

Please help.

Hey there B.Toast,

There should be a guide in the motherboard's manual on how to properly set up a hardware RAID0 and boot from it. You should go to the motherboard settings, configure the AHCI/IDE mode to RAID, select the two drives and create the array itself. Then you should simply install the OS freshly on it and you should be done. :) Do have in mind that creating a RAID array formats the drives and if you have any data on them, it will be wiped.

In case the motherboard or the BIOS needs an update, you can check the manufacturer's website for the proper files and guide on how to download and install them. :)

Contacting their support is also a good idea.

Got it set up. Got it to boot. Curiously, when I boot it loads the RAID configuration table for a few seconds, and then it boots into the OS. *shrug* I'll post back later when I get everything setup again and start benchmarking my SSDs.
