Hello i just bought the g430 form logitech and i am very confused with the provided sound card when i plug in the headphones the volume drops in very low levels also i can hear myself over the mic which is very annoying and i dont have it in some test mode to justify that. I know that i can connect them directly to the motherboard and all will be fixed but i will loose the surround effects which is the main reason i bought them instead other headphones... did some research on the topic and i didnt fine anything useful. Can anyone help or should i return them?

did you install the Logitech gaming software? Can you check the volume slider on the headset cable isnt set low and the volume level in the software is turned up?

Hearing yourself is a feature called Sidetalk, and on the g430 you dont have control over the volume of this (there may be some ini file configuration you can do with the logitech software to work around this) but with closed cup headphones it really is a useful feature to stop yourself from talking too loud.

If possible plug them into another machine/laptop see if the sound volume issue persists

it was noticeable louder didnt reach an uncoufortable level but it something that i can work with.. i think the problem might be that i pluged the soundcard before i download the drivers from logitech and the windows must have downloaded some general drivers and somehow they conflict happed me before with a mouse not sure but i will try to unistall everuthing and install again
