Hello, im interested what should i know before starting to create a program that sorts files by their extensions to respective folders. ( so far i know arrays, loops, structs, char/string, functions).

but lets say we have 7 files in that folder, but how does the program know that there are 7 files?

There are many classes and methods that you can use to work with files and folders.
