Looking to upgrade:: needing some input.

I was thinking about 'upgrading' my PSU to a full modular unit and maybe something a wee bit smaller.

This is what I have...

This is what  I was looking at getting...

My current system specs are as follows.

While I realize it is a 100W reduction it total power it seems to be 100W +-  15W more than I need according to PC Part Picker. Its a bit smaller and its modular. The point of this was to get a little more room in my case and clean up the cable management.

Thoughts and or advice is appreciated.

Get that - unlike the Corsair CX, VS, CS or RM - it's a top quality PSU

I mean, that's a G2, that's about as good as PSUs get. And for $10 more you can get a 650W version.

Any unknown button should be pressed even number of times.

CSM are fine, same as the CXM.

They just get a bad rep became they had a false start.

Also, oops.

Forgot the G1, atleast it isn't as bad as NEX.

G1 and NEX are the same platform :D

CS, modular or no, are mediocre - not nearly as good as Antec HCG or G2 and costs the same :/

If you take advantage of the rebate, it's cheaper :P

Plus as much as I don't like how "EVGA" sounds I loathe "Antec" even more.

I don't buy it based soely on the name, however I trust EVGA more regardless.

EVGA's Super Flower and SeaSonic-based platforms are good, the FSP(or was it Compucase?) ones are dreadful.

Antec has SeaSonic and Delta as OEMs mainly - those are the best of the best :)

Better than Super Flower by a decent bit :P
