Saticy headset

Go to solution Solved by piplupgao,

Then get a wired headset :D I used a wireless one for almost a year, I can't stand them now. The only peripheral that I think should be wireless is your mouse.

Well I fixed it apparantly the gain or something was bad

Do you have a usb hub? That caused me to have it for a long time and when I removed it, it went away. I noticed it because the static got worse when ever I touched anything plugged into the hub.

yes

Well you're going to have to try and eliminate all the electronics between your headset and your hub, make sure it's not behind your monitor and move everything away from around it, get it as close as possible to the headset with nothing in between.

Its on top of my computer case and my monitor is a good foot or 2 away

That's the problem, take it as far away from any electronics as you can, put it on the edge of your table or get a little separate table for it. Make sure the headset has a direct line of site to it.

Then it's probably a wiring issue, try and change the wire that goes from your hub to your computer, there's not much else you can do. What headset is it?

Oh also it could be the same frequency of some other wireless product in the area, try turning your wifi off, get your phone out of the room and anything else that emits a wireless signal.
