Renaming a Folder Containing Programs. HELP!?

I have made a folder on my secondary HDD for my programs. I named it "Programmes" which is incorrectly spelt for the UK which is bugging me. When i try to rename the folder to "Programs", some programs dont work properly and the "Uninstall a program" page cant find the programs. (when i try to uninstall one of the programs it says it cant be found, would you like to remove this program for this list) So what i am asking is, how do i rename the folder without messing up the programs i have installed. I basically need to tell my OS that i have moved the files but i cant figure it out.

Basically, when you renamed the folder all of the shortcuts to the uninstallers and what not were broken bc they referenced an incorrectly named folder "Programmes" rather than a more correct and not as stupidly spelled "Programs"

 

The UK sucks at spelling

So stupid. and what's with apartments being called flats? it makes no sense.

You can change each entry for all your installed programs in Regedit to fix it. But that's a ball-ache to do.

 

Also real English UK spelling is the best spelling.

 

You American's and not knowing how to spell Colour.

nope. why do you say "z" like "zed" it doesn't make any sense. and "h" too.

 

And where did your "r"s go? you might as take those out of the language too
