Hey there Rohit Jackdaw,

I would download WD Data Lifeguard Diagnostic tool and run it on the drive to check its health. If it passes both the quick and the extended tests it should be safe to use. :) Here's a link to the tool: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=6mj90q
If you are still worried, I would contact our live support and apply for a RMA procedure if the drive is still under warranty. Here's a link to the support: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=AStI5N and to the RMA and Warranty policies: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=ErG8o3

Feel free to ask if you need any additional info :)

My WD My Pasport Ultra 2TB drive is 1.7 years old. A few minutes ago accidentally it fell around 2 feet down. It works now and reads and writes data fine. The fall made its rubber feet go missing but no visible physical damages. The thing is if I am copying anything to or fro from it it she copying hangs for a few seconds after few minutes but often recovers itself after few seconds. Is this caused by the fall and should I RMA the drive ? No clicks or nothing from it. Thanks

I would not worry about it till you start to see major issues like corrupted files or anything. But back up all ur stuff just in case.

If any sign of errors appear RMA it right away before the warranty expires cause the drive will only get worse. Also make sure its all backed up somewhere.

I am backing up now. There is year and few months of warranty left. Let me think and then do further tests to confirm any issues
