Hello,

So I have my older laptop for school, which I upgraded with an SSD a while ago but the AMD dual core is hitting full load a lot (AMD A6-4400M).

I did some research and found out that the AMD A10-4600M (quad core) will be an 'improvement'.

On Aliexpress there is this guy selling 940 units of this CPU (link). His reviews are looking good, but the thing I wonder is: on the picture he shows an engineering example.

Is an engineering example as usefull as a real unit?

Also, My laptop is an ASUS R700D K75de with the A6-4400M, can I swap the CPU or is it soldered?

thanks in advance

Looks like that laptop has a removable cpu.  Did they make a lappy with the 4600m?  You don't want to go to far out of the /power/cooling ability of your system.  You also need to find out if that cpu will cooperate with the motherboards BIoS.

Usually upgrading laptop cpu isn't worth it unless your paying almost no money for the upgrade or even better getting it for free you are far better off just buying a new laptop IMO

I don't know if they made a laptop with the 4600m, I do know that the socket etc is the same, here is a link to a small comparison (link)

Well the CPU I'm looking to buy on aliExpress is € 25 so that's almost no money

Then I'd say go for it over 2k extra points in cinebench
