I have a hd probook 4530s and ive noticed that when i bend my plugged in wire up, it causing the dc plug in the laptop to be loose enough to move down slightly and back again making a small click noise. Bending any other way does not vend it and it stay firm in place. The laptop charges fine though. Any precautions i can take or a fix i can do? Btw my battery is shot after shorting out a usb port xD

Trying hard not to bend it would be the best course of action. :)

The connector isn't soldered on a PCB, like it usually is. If it was, it moving would be a serious issue. Instead it's a separate plastic housing at the end of a wire. I'd say it's just the housing of the connector moving against the casing of the laptop and there's nothing to worry about. If you feel up to it, you can always pop it open and see what's going on but I wouldn't bother myself. Here's the connector.

If you really dont want it to move I would take the laptop apart until the connector is visible and hot glue it in place, but do watch out the glue doesnt interfere with anything.
