Advice Needed - PC Rig for Surface Pro 2

Hi guys, 

 

So I've never been able to afford to build my own rig, I'm slowly trying to save up just enough to build one. But these past few days I came into contact with this guy that is thinking about selling his PC Rig for $1500 or trading it for a Surface Pro 3. I made him an offer to trade a surface pro 2 and pay him a price difference of $500. It's in good condition and it comes with a type cover, charger, mini displayport to HDMI adapter, surface pen, as well as a cover sleeve. I even offered to give him an external hard drive of 500GB. 

 

Am I giving him too much? Honestly, I just wanna get rid of the Surface I have. I think it's a fair trade.
