Yes, Broadwell-E for X99 platforms.

Please... pretty please Intel.... can I haz octacore for 500$? One 6 core, one 8 core and one 10 core hopefully

Open your eyes and break your chains. Console peasantry is just a state of mind.

“It would seem that Our Lord finds our desires not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling about with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea. We are far too easily pleased.”

It's already released, it just sucks dix

Nah, it was a huge step forward in helping develop Skylake. Not to mention the iGPU in the Broadwell i5 and i7 beat out AMD's 7850K by almost 60%. If you're able to find one for cheap (good luck) and are rocking a Pentium Anniversary for instance, grabbing the i5 5675C for streaming and using QuickSync encoding would offer a substantial load off your graphics card.

Again, these are all subjective, situational "what if's"; but still shouldn't be disregarded.

Cinders: - i7 4790K (4.5GHz) - Gigabyte Z97X-SOC - 16GB Klevv DDR3 1600MHz - EVGA GTX 980Ti ACX2.0+ (1548MHz Boost) - EVGA Supernova 850GS - NZXT H440 Orange/Black (Modified) -
Unnamed System: i5 4690K (4.2GHz) - MSI Z97I-AC - 8GB G.Skill DDR3 2400MHz - EVGA GTX 950 SSC - Raidmax Thunder V2 535W - Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ITX
