wd red 1 tb formatting problem

brought i new wd red 1 tb for desktop use .

i want to use the drive as a normal secondary drive.

its showing in uefi bios but when i boot to desktop its doesnot show up as  a drive to be formatted.

i tried to format it by running only os drive and wd red 1tb but faced same problems

tried disk mangement there it sometimes shows up but when i try to format it doesnot format (shows cannot format successfully)

in disk mangement it shows (simple basic raw healthy (primary part))

partition is in MBR

plz give some suggestions and if possible give links to such suggestions.

I'd suggest running WD Data Lifeguard Diagnostic tool and checking the health of the WD Red drive. See if the drive is detected and if it passes both the quick and the extended tests. Here's a link: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=skrTCU

It would also be helpful if you post a screenshot of your Disk Management.

You can try swapping SATA cables and ports as well as other SATA power cables or plugs.
