This is probably a stupid question, but is it possible to code c++ on mac? Any answer would be greatly appreciated!

Most major editors are available on OS X and have C++ support. Sublime Text, Atom, Vim, Emacs, Code Blocks, Eclipse, CLion, etc. You'll have plenty of options.

 

If for some reason there's something you can't do on OS X, the school should have computers available for you to work on or you can get Windows or Linux on your mac (dual boot, virtual machine, etc).
