Is my microphone dead?

I tried echo and i cant hear anything, but friends say that there comes strange noise from my microphone.

I have mic connected to Asus Xonar phoebus, i also tried to connect it to Asus ROG spitfire and nothing.

So is my mic dead or what?

My headset is Asus vulcan.

yup i had the same problem with my microphone everyone was saying LEVENT STOP FARTING 

replaced it and its fine now

send it completely just to be sure who knows maybe they will just send you new one
