The best Linux terminal solution

Man i am fcking tired of thousands of terminal windows.

I recently found Guage, a Quake inspired terminal, which open on the same key as in Quake. 

 

Go get it its fcking awsome

no, because windows doesnt have an awesome dropdown terminal.

I know Really its a personal preference thing. I don't use terminal that much so gnome-terminal is fine for me, although years ago  I could have really used the drop-down style terminal.

Really? Running XFCE since forever, did not notice it.

Yeah, if you go into your keyboard settings and add a new command shortcut

 xfce4-terminal --drop-down

and make the shortcut Ctrl + ` it makes a drop down terminal.
