Hello men

I have msi 970 gaming motherboard. My pc runs well and i can play chess but when i plug in ethernet cable, windows doesnt regocnize it. I bought a netgear wireless device but it doesnt get regocnized either. I have win7 system 64bit

THX men i am really angry rip 1000€ if no work ;(((

Are you sure its windows problem and not the motherboard ?

Sounds like mobo to me.

But then, i never experienced such thing so im just guessing.

PS. Have u installed all drivers for your mobo ?

Look at the bottom right of your taskbar. If you have the proper drivers for your ethernet installed, you should get something like this:

Now there are three ways this icon can appear. One will be like the image above where you'll see a little monitor with an ethernet cable, that tells you that wired ethernet is working properly, the Network is detected and there is internet access.

If the icon appears with a yellow triangle and exclamation mark, that means that the wired ethernet is connected properly but there is limited connectivity provided by that network. In this stage, you may have issues regarding connecting to other computers and devices in the Network and/or not be able to connect to the internet.

If the icon appears with a red cross, that means the onbaord ethernet port does not detect an ethernet connection. If you get this message, it could be a problem with either the ethernet cable, router, or that the ethernet port on the motherboard is faulty.
