I am currently using my CRT to play games because i like the super high refresh rate and the amazing colours it produces but my LCD that I know is not bad at all looks like crap compared to my CRT. I can't stand the redness of my LCD anymore when I look at my LCD the colours look way to warm set to the sRGB preset and look blown out and unbalanced when i set the colour manually. The CRT has a very nice BRIGHT colour that I enjoy but it's kind of small and its not HD. I could deal with the display being 10x thicker than my LCD but I can't stand the size of the screen or the low resolution.

Any recommendations on a good monitor that would replace my CRT?

I am scared that if I buy a 120Hz LCD is will have to much motion blur and not look as smooth and fast as my CRT. I have also never seen a 120hz LCD in real life.

As you can see from the picture below the CRT has a much brighter and more blue colour tint to it that I can't get on the LCd no matter how much I play with the controls.

What is your current LCD you are using?

LG Flatron W2253V. The LG is a high-grade TN panel.

Ok.  An IPS panel will benefit you a lot.  I've got a pretty decent TN panel as well and next to an IPS it simply cannot compete in saturation, I tried messing with the color and brightness settings.  Blues, reds, and colors in general are much more pronounced on an IPS panel.  I would suggest going that route.  I'm using a PA248Q and it looks beautiful.  I don't use the factory sRGB setting though, too dull.  I have a custom color setting for it that I use, which I can give you if you want.

Yeah I meant if you decide to get that one or another from that lineup (PB238Q, PB278Q).

If you didn't like the colors of your screen now I wouldn't bother with 120hz since the colors look worse. If you care about input lag Dell has done a good job on reducing  it for there recent monitors like the Dell U2312HM or Dell U2412HM
