Windows 10 random restart

Hey guys im having trouble with my pc

It could be my upgrade to the 290x or my upgrade to windows 10

Everything works fine until the screen goes black and restarts my pc

This happens more often when gaming and editing images in Lightroom but sometimes random

Is my psu broken ? Or is it a problem with win10, i will be downgrading to win7 to see if it was a hardware problem

My system specs are

AMD FX-8120 (stock clock)

ASUS M5a97 (first revision)

Kingston HyperX blue 1600mhz 8GB

Corsair GS700 PSU

Asus 290x dcu2

Kingston SSDNow V300 120GB

And some WD drives

Im also using a corsair mouse and keyboard K50 & M65

Just to follow up what GoodBytes said you should get A. A better cooler or B. Have a fan pointing at your PC to help stop your PC from overheating

Sorry for my post here btw im totally new

Its non heat related my cpu and gpu are getting direct air from the side panel

Even on idle it restarts so its not the psu having to low wattage or the system heating up

I can game for hours without problem it just happens randomly

the problem is still going on and i find that my pc won't post sometimes this happened 2 times after the random restart

i unplugged the power and connected the cpu fan to the cpu fan connector on the motherboard and it booted again 

strange because i have always used my fan controller without issues and have never used my cpu fan connector
