I'm trying to figure out which radiator combo to get for best performance.

My case can support: 280mm and a 240mm in the top or 2x 240mm in the top, 140mm in rear, 240mm in front, 140mm in bottom

I will be cooling a 4790k and two EVGA 980TI SC.

The clearance is 180mm for the CPU cooler but with the graphics cards installed they take up 111mm in height so that only leaves me 69mm to play with.

280mm for the CPU might be overkill but I was thinking of doing the 280mm on the side where the CPU is so there's more clearance and using it for the GPUs and the 240mm for the CPU on the side of the GPUs where there's less clearance.

This is my first time watercooling so I'm definitely all ears for any suggestions. Thanks. Please also suggest thicknesses with your recommendations. The only limitation (within reason) is the front rad as that is right where the PSU cables go. It's capped at a slim, 30mm rad.

For the best performance, get the biggest and most dense radiator that you're case can support and grab some high static pressure fans(Gentle Typhoons, Noctuas, etc.)

What case do you actually have? It is easier if we know that as someone has probably watercooled in it before. General rule of thumb is 120mm of rad space for each component as an absolute minimum.

I have a 3770K and 2 980Ti in my machine and I use 2x 280mm rads which do a good job.

Does 2x 240mm means you can fit a 480mm in top?

If not, then a 240mm in top and a 240mm in front should be enough cooling.

I speak my mind, sorry if thats a problem.

I doubt it, it's the Core V21. Very little build logs with this case. I'd like to call myself an innovator :)

That being said, seems like the 280 and 240 combo seems up my alley. You got 80mm of more cooling space than I do so having thicker rads might help.
