Paint a Mousemat?

I have wanted an extended mousemat for a while now, but I don't really feel like buying one.  I do have a Speedstacks mat that is basically the same size, but it is tie die.  Anyway, I was wondering if there would be a way to paint it.  I feel like the paint would either chip off or make the surface of the pad terrible, but it's always better to ask!

It can be done but you'd need to have some wax paper to cover over it, to make it a proper surface to use your mouse on.

Thanks for sharing!  I might try that out, an extended mousemat with an Aperture logo would be sweet :0
