So yesterday I was playing star trek online and watching some youtube when suddenly my computer froze up and I received a blue screen (windows 10 btw) that read dpc_watchdog_violation.

It then proceeded to restart where it froze at the motherboard screen that always pops up telling you all the shortcuts to motherboard settings. I waited about 20 minutes and nothing happened just fans buzzing away. So I finally did a hard power off by holding power On/off. I then started it back up and the same thing happened except this time I waited about 50 minutes so I powered off again. And tried to restart except this time it wouldn't even power on. I flipped the psu switch a few times to no avail.(note I did try to clear the system of power by hitting the power button when the psu was off )

After that I decided to check to see if my psu was dead so I performed the paper clip test and sure enough it wasn't the psu because the lights and fans started up. So I thought it had to be the mobo. I removed the cmos battery and waited about 20 minutes (i don't have a jumper)

Specs.
Psu cx750
Gtx 970 evga
I7 3770k
Gigabyte ga z77 ds3h
1tb wd blue caviar

Is it time for me to go mobo shopping or is there something I haven't tried yet. Thank you for any help you can give
