Need clarification on a little problem.

Go to solution Solved by KemoKa,

I forgot to mention this little detail. The shield can do ac AND n. The router can do ac and n. So it the router is set to ac and n, Will the shield connect as ac too?

it should use the highest protocol available to it.

I have a Nvidia shield tv pro. I know that is supports wireless ac. My router is currently set to n and ac. My question is, Which wireless type is my shield connected as if it can do ac but the router is n and ac?

Thanks for the help!!!!

iirc all wireless chipsets are compatible with one another; if an n card goes to an ac access point, the AP will use n protocols for that device. If an ac device connects to an n AP, the device will use n protocols. So your shield will use whatever network it can find.
