Best free antivirus/malware

Hi there!

Some background info: I Boughy a a ivr laptop and no can't afford a antivirus/malware for a very long time. I don't torrent often but I do stream from unofficially sources quite often though....

I don't want my new laptop to break down so please, what antivirus/malware do you suggest.

I suggest not torrenting.. but get eset, malware bytes or avast. Only good free ones out there IMO

I personally just use Windows Defender which is built in with Windows 8/8.1/10, previously Microsoft Security Essentials on Windows 7. There is less bloat than AVG, etc. and generally seems lighter on processes.

Thanks for all the suggestions for the time being I plan to use malwarebytes. Uy in the future when I scrape together some money what antivirus should I use, if its not too much to ask :P
