If you're trying to just make a private server with your friends, it's pretty easy.

1. Have everyone download Hamachi and you set up a network and have them all on it.

2. Start a new game in Garry's Mod, make it multiplayer with the correct number of players and all the settings you want, then you join it by yourself.

3. You hit the "~" next to 1 and in the console, type "sv_kickerrornum 0". (Your friends won't be able to connect without this since they'll have too many LUA errors, but this allows them to have unlimited errors)

4. Identify the IP of your Hamachi network and when your friends are on the Garry's Mod main screen, have them hit the "~" key next to 1 and it opens the console.

5. Have them type in the console "connect (Hamachi IP)"

It should work after that, it worked for me at least. Good luck :)

Intel i5 3570K - ASRock Extreme4 - Corsair Vengeance 8Gb RAM - ASUS GTX 660 Ti - Samsung 840 250Gb SSD (OS-Games) - WD 750Gb HDD (Storage) - Corsair TX650W PSU - Corsair 300R
