980ti sli

Go to solution Solved by Morgan MLGman,

ok cheers dude, i have good air flow anyway so another twin frozer should be ok

Not even mentioning the slight performance drop since the better card (msi) will only work as fast as the reference one which is lower-clocked etc etc.

hi guys i have the MSI G6 msi 980ti and i want to go sli, should i get the same card or would it be better to get a refferance card as they exaughst heat straight out the back ?

If you already have the MSI, get another MSI. Its cooler is better than the reference version, adding another might add a few degrees to the card on the top but with the TwinFrozr V heat should not be an issue in my opinion

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT 16GB GDDR6 Motherboard: MSI PRESTIGE X570 CREATION
AIO: Corsair H150i Pro RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 32GB 3600MHz DDR4 Case: Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic PSU: Corsair RM850x White
