so im totally going with an electric guitar but the only problem i can come up with is the noise ... i live ia a small house with two other (very loud people) and playing music on my phone or pc is ok but i dont know how the sound of an amp would go over ... what should i do??

Get a low wattage practice amp. Lower watt the less volume you need to get a distorted sound. I have a 5W Blackstar HT5 and a Vox AC4BL 4W I use for home practice.

I have that exact thing. Not nearly as good sounding as a true tube amp it is not bad. I use it for when I travel.

You could just buy an amp with a headphone output and use that.
