I just got a pair of the Carbo tenore in the mail the other day. They sound really good, and imo, they sound better than shure se215. Plus, they look cool as hell. They're small enough to sleep on your side in, and they're the only IEM that I've ever owned that stays in my ears for long periods of time without adjustment. That cable doesn't make any noise, and they're easy to wear cable up if that's your thing. I actually made a post about them on this sub called something like "there's a new IEM on the block... Now with pictures"

Hey! New SIgnature!

Second vote for Carbo Tenore, and I can also recommend the Hifiman RE400 as well...and they come in variants that have android/iphone remotes.  Read up on both of those  I'd give the RE400 the upper hand if you listen to vocals or music with acoustic/wind instruments.

I would recommend an IEM with slighty more bass, even if you aren't a bass head. I don't know about carbo tenore, but I know VSD3S is amazing for the price

The Carbo tenore has more forward mids and bass, and rolls of every so slightly in the treble. It has really good bass extension, too. I'll have to get my hands on the vsonic so I can give more specific comparisons. From what I recall about your westone 4s, I'd say that the Carbo tenore has a pretty similar general sound signature, but the texture and detail lags a fair bit behind (still better than anything I've heard for under $100 though!) also, I think that the 4 has a more detailed sound stage and better separation, but the Carbo has a wider one (that being said, everything is far left, far right, or dead center, there isn't really any granularity to it...)

Layering and timbre are the 2 things that are hard to get with lower end products

Yup... But hey, for $35, there's only so much you can do, and I think they really did a great job of it!
