I have observed alot of complaints about part reliability on this forum come to consider these things:

1. most components put are market are reliable for general long term use.

2. Alot people run these parts out of spec(overclocking) because they can with only small percentage benefits that may not even be relevant to them.

3. Small sample sizes must be involved given i have seen people love gigabyte or at least consider it quite reliable and others that hate gigabyte.

4. Alot of people on this forum use the parts in "high reliability under stress" scenarios which i would argue thats when you should be running workstation designed for that.(people who run workstation class pcs swear by their reliability due to very good parts ive observed)

In electronic devices you pretty much have to have bad luck to have a component fail on you.

Or know what kind of components are used inside certain hardware, like those CapXon caps that some Corsair PSU uses, even though primary caps are not that important as secondary caps.
