Hello, my brother and I were looking to build a PC and were wondering if the components were enough for what we would like to use it for. We would eventually like to have 3 monitors and the programs we would be using are photoshop, autodesk maya/mudbox/3ds max for game design. We'd like to be able to run at least 2 of those programs at the same time, they require a lot of rendering so what cpu/motherboard/gpu would be appropriate for that?  Also, basic computer gaming/use and streaming on Twitch through Xbox 1/ps4 etc. A link to the components is below and I will also list the components out as well. Ideally we would like to stay around $1000-$1100ish price range, so if any components can be swapped out let us know. Currently the pc part picker price is estimated at $1226 which isn't bad. Thank you for the help!

Not bad config, I wouldn't get a 50$ air cooler for a non-K processor, a 20$ 212EVO will do just find - you could get away with the stock cooler even, if you don't mind the noise. Also, if  you're not going to overclock - you can't with that current CPU - then don't waste money on a Z97 chipset. ;)

I'd get a bigger SSD, Windows use a lot of space by itself and the programs you mentionned are also quite heavy. For less than 100$ you can get a 240GB+ one.

I can't really help you with the rest as I'm not up to date on PC hardware, but I have an i7 (4770K) and 16GB a RAM, I use the programs you mention and I can have 2-3 of them open at the same time without a problem.

z97 boards are for overclocking not needed for a regular i7 4970. I would probably boost up to 32gb of ram also

Would this graphics card and motherboard be more appropriate?

Those would do, the 960 is a good card for any 1080p gaming. Some may say to upgrade to r9 380 for a few more bucks but personally im a little more inclined to lean to nvidia direction. That motherboard shouldnt have any problems.
