Steam wont recognize games

So in the past if ive had to move games around on my pc (i.e from small ssd to hdd) and get steam to recognize them again. I would just attempt to reinstall them where their new location is on the computer and steam would recognize that its already there and just link it up without download but now when i try to do the same thing it comes up with "new steam library folder must be empty". how do i get around this can anyone give me a hand.

Do the following and add the folder as in the image and avoid trying to download them all to confirm they are installed Steam will auto-recognize there location.

run steam as administrator ( actually worked for me when i had the same problem ) (͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

 

steam requires administrator rights else it cant do everything (͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( idk why they dont have administrator by default on it, prolly windows preventing it or w/e )

Stop the download and it will work, its a steam read write issue.

Thanks guys not sure if running as administrator or just stopping the download fixxed it but it worked thanks a heap
