I don't mean to be one of, "those guys", but I need help. I'm looking to replace my ancient GPUs and would like to get some advise on what would be a good pick for my system. I prefer Nvidia cards. I'm on a bit of a budget, so around $200 or under. I'm looking to play Witcher 3, MK X, (and perhaps Arkham Kight when they fix it) on decent settings.

My rig is:

MSI X58-PRO-E ( MS-7522 VER 3.1)

Intell Core i7 960 3.2 GHz

10g DDR3 RAM 1600

500g HDD 7200

Corsair TX650 650w psu

PNY GeForce GTX 465 (in the system now)

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 285

EVGA GeForce GT 640

Lol. Yes 3. The GT 640 was in a junk system when I bought it. I replaced it with the 285, but it wouldn't play Crysis 3 due to it only running DX10. I replaced it with the 465 that I flashed to a full 470. Unfortunately it was unstable and crashed a lot so I had to flash it back. I tried selling the other 2, but no one is interested in them. So that's why 3.

R9 290. Sell your graphics cards on Craigslist and get something like a GTX 970.

You might want to get a new CPU/Mobo AND an SSD.

SSD first tbh. Once you go SSD, you can't go HDD,

I definitely will be getting an SSD soon. I know that my mobo and CPU are getting a bit old, but they still have some life left. The GPU is my main concern right now. All in good time though.
