After many years of using nothing but Apple's mighty mouse and then the magic mouse at work and at home, my hands picked up the habit of aiming with the front of the mouse. By that I mean that when playing games like CSGO, I usually flick the front of the mouse without moving my wrist, instead of moving the entire hand like many people do.

Now that I've been playing the game a bit less casually, I've been in search of the perfect mouse for my little hands. Alas after many dollars spent, nothing felt quite right. I have just today realized why, after many years of inconsistently waking up to "why does my mouse always feel so strange to my hands?!"

All gaming mice I've experimented with have their censors on the center of the mouse; while I'm used to having the censor in the front of the mouse.
Since I use the magic mouse at work for 8 hours daily, it takes a lot of 'warming up" for my hands to get used to my gaming mouse when I get home.

I am desperate for a good wired gaming mouse that will have a sensor positioned at the front.
So far my only options are the Logitech g500 and g700. If all else fails, I might pick up the g500 to see how it feels (although from the pictures it looks to be really fat and uncomfortable). But I'm pretty sad by literally every well recommended gaming mouse has a sensor dead in the center.
Having the sensor on the upper side of the mouse feels so much more natural, especially for playing FPS style games like csgo.

Are there any other options for me? Or am I stuck with an outdated Logitech?

That's like learning how to write with your left hand.. like I said, I'm looking for an option that fits my needs, not to re-learn how to mouse.

I can still use a "normal" mouse, but it doesn't feel as natural to me. It's just a preference thing.

I did find a new option that I might consider:

Has anyone ever used one of these before?

It is not a necrobump, im just late...

It bugs me for years now, why o why all producers focus on blinking lights, unnecessary and confusing buttons, uncomfortable crazy mad catz rat s#ityy "design" and no one looks underneath. Simple physics of angles and radius tells you that for greatest precision optic sensor should be placed at the front of the mouse. I would place it beyond fingers, outside contour of the hand. It so obvious!
Take a potato, put a pencil in the center then grab it and try to write your signature.
It's stupid, yet widespread-duh!
...
Logitech with G500 made some effort, but it's huge and heavy.

The difference in how the mouse cursor moves from the sensor being forward a bit is so small I think you might just be experiencing a placebo effect. If you want to get into CSGO then your wrist style is not really gonna work as your going to want a lower sensitivity anyway requiring full motion of the arm. It is not going to be practical for you to live the rest of your life looking for mice with sensors at the front so you may as well get used to one now with a sensor in the middle.

Don't give me your 'I'm looking for an option that fits my needs, not to re-learn how to mouse'.Man up! Its extremely similar. Plug in a normal sensor centered gaming mouse find an aim map in CSGO start shooting some heads. You'll be fine and you will get used to it.

Try to imagine unthinkable - not everyone plays CamperStrike...
some people (not many, i admit ;) are using mouse for other purposes.
And some of them needs greater precision without gliding over the whole table.
Following your way of thinking - learn to play your beloved and only game that can be ever played, with MouseAcceleration ON, just adjust speed of movement when it's necessary. You know, this "feature" is there for a reason, get used to use it.
(...)
Technical flaws and stupid design decision are so overwhelmingly present that some people take them as "normal", for instance QWERTY keyboard layout that repents for 150 years. Of course some people don't care, because they are using only four keys AWSD. Tiny improvements multiplied by number of users make huge difference, and this one don't need huge investements, this one needs someone to think for a while.
Sadly most people is apparently affraid of thinking.

Ah... that's why Logitech's G500 series were good... Never good put my finger on why their mice just felt right... until now. They've moved the sensor back a bit on the 502.
