MLG on tv????

Anyone know what channel MLG is on directv? Or if it's even on tv at all?

I7-6700k, Asus Maximus VIII Formula, 2 x 8GB Corsair Dominator Plantinum ram, ASUS GTX 960 STRIX, sound blaster zx, 1TB boot drive ssd, 128GB/256GB storage ssd, 1TB storage HDD, 4TB of storage (backup),Windows 10 Pro,1000w psu

Try twitch.tv . I don't have cable/satellite so if MLG has a channel on TV now, more power to 'em.

i just realized how long it's been since i've actually sat down and watched TV.

I've never heard of MLG being broadcast on live Cable/Satellite TV. Perhaps clips of it has made it on one of the various "tech" or "Gaming" news shows over the years, but I'm fairly sure that it isn't broadcast in this way.

 

Streaming it via Twitch.TV is the preferred method, with YouTube VOD's uploaded several hours or days later also being common.

 

The MLG Twitch streams are usually pretty high quality. I haven't caught any of this years ones live, but I saw some from last year live and it was good stuff.

Yes, as others have mentioned, one option is the Chromecast device, which streams from an Android Tablet to your TV via it's HDMI port. It's cheap ($35 or so USD) and small.

 

Other options include a set-top box such as a Roku. Basically anything that supports Twitch.TV.

 

Lastly you could use an HTPC or hook up any PC to the TV via HDMI and just stream the Twitch.TV site.
