Is this normal?

I started folding yesterday night on my new pc, for some reason my CPU is pinned at around 50%-50% utilisation and I dont understand why, thermal throttling shouldn't be a problem seeing as it boosts to 3.7 GHz and it keeps under 70 degrees.

that's your UnCore, not your CPU usage. You're using 2 threads out of 4 for the CPU folding (50% CPU usage). AMD GPU's don't seem to have the polling issues nvidia ones do, so 59% UC usage makes sense. If you want more, enable another core in the folding slot config, but be warned that will raise temperatures higher as the CPU will be working harder.

I havent changed any settings, on my older pc that thing was at 100 percent all the time

it's not at 100% because your CPU isn't at 100%. Uncore only follows the CPU loosely in the first place.

its also the fact that I forgot to set it at full power :/
