Hey i just spent 300$ USD on the Astro A50s and i plugged everything in except that i have no sound coming from my headset, i can only hear my own voice whenever i speak , i dont get sound from anything else anyone know how to fix this? i dont wanna return them as i had high expectations

I'd return them asap, they really don't stack up to a good headphone in the $200 range and something like a mod mic which will bring you to around the $300 price point.  Did it come with a mix amp or something? Make sure your console is outputting audio in the right format (optical, bitstream maybe) and not via HDMI or something weird.

Astro is useful for LAN party / Pro Gaming, in that you can use those mixamps to create a closed network of voice chat without having to setup other hardware / software. Outside of that use, its not that useful. If you were actually intending to use this product in the way I explained, then you should just get it replaced with a new one. If not, get a refund and look for something else.

If you're using them on a console ex: 360 you need to have the a/v connecter plugged in, and using the optical cable.

Tbh tho, they are two trash cans sitting on your head, and the microphone is horrid. You're better off returning those, if you got them for wireless the steelseries H is a much better choice. Albeit the mic is sort of bad on that aswell.
