Is usb 3.1 worth having on mobo ?

Not really if it means more expense

Well....its a super awesome feature that isnt really a thing yet. It will be cool to see how device manufacturers start using it in the upcoming year(s).

The great flexibility of the cable (it is being used as the thunderbolt 3 standard as well) with 100Watts of power and the super high bandwidth will be great in the future.

 

That all being said, right now, it doesnt make any sense, but in the next year will be great.

When in doubt, re-format.
