The NFC Ring

So I remembered that on the WAN show they were talking about the NFC Ring - http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mclear/nfc-ring

 

I don't have any NFC devices, but I want one of these. 

 

It's pretty cheap for what it is, £22, and I'm considering getting one.

 

Anyone else planning to, or already backed it?

I saw this the other day, and was like D: oh COOL! but same as @joelthezombie15, need more MONEY D: and shipping to Europe is always going to be a death to my wallet! darn import tax! ;)

What part of Europe are you in?

And I'm not backing it right away because I need to see if I have enough spare money.

Switzerland, they add a bomb of import tax! I do sometimes buy things in England and bring them over (like my Ducky Zero) but still, it's a bother!

That sucks, know anyone that can send it over as a gift?

I wouldn't have bothered looking at it if it was from the US because of import tax.

I don't really like NFC, at the moment it's way too easy to hack.

There's ups and downs with it, I wouldn't use it for anything like unlocking a door, just something to mess about with.

 

I'm also considering to get the NFC Ring, but I don't see a big potential in NFC technology, it seems rather limited in terms of uses.

I think it's at the stage where anything can happen, it could slowly die or expand and be used more widely.
