German carmaker Audi said it will develop batteries for electrically powered sport utility vehicles (SUVs) that can run more than 500 kilometers per charge, in partnerships with South Korea's LG Chem Ltd and Samsung SDI Co Ltd. 

 

500km is more than what Tesla offers.. Today in WAN show Linus talk about big players not investing in electrical car segment.. guess it is changing..

Pretty sure they are also going to make the SUVs themselves, not just the batteries.
