hard drive issue

Go to solution Solved by Naeaes,

bios wasnt detecting it till i opened and closed it (yes i cracked it open but i didnt touch it).Is it still possible to fix it what happened it was perfectly working drive used to record videos on

Well judging by the sound it's an electronic problem. The head keeps spasming back and forth. The data is highly likely still there, just not readable by the read head you have there. It's possible to either swap the circuit board to your drive or the disks to another drive but that shouldn't be done outside laboratory conditions. Touching is one thing but moisture, dust and EMI are entirely another. There are raw cloning softwares that clone each bit off a drive in succession regardless of what files they belong to and even regardless of the copying succeeded. I use Roadkil's Raw copy myself.

That's a brick you have right there. Have it swapped. A raw sector clone could get some of the data out but more likely that won't work either.
