980 HoF Performance Issues

Hey lads,

I've had my 980 for around 8 months now, and it's been great for the most part. However, about 3 months ago I started having problems with the card not actually being able to go past 20% - 30% usage in all situations. I worry it might be a bottleneck somewhere, but then again this issue has only surfaced the past 3 months. I've tried to play on both Windows 8.1 and 10 on a plethora of drivers, but still no difference. Games like Borderlands 2, DragonBall Xenoverse, Bioshock Infinite and Grand Theft Auto 5, all sit at around 30% and refuse to use anything more. If anybody has any idea what is going on, help is much appreciated.

There shouldn't be any bottlenecks somewhere due to a new system. Did you gave a shot about updating drivers and used DDU along with it?

I've tried about 15 different drivers. I am sure it is a hardware related issue.

Did you run some monitoring? Could be overheating somewhere that's causing it to not fully utilizing the GPU? Check for load% on CPU, GPU and then RAM. I'm betting it's faulty fans on the 980.
