The hd4870, is it completely obsolete, i mean for even some light, light gaming and video's movie's..?

i have one laying around in somewhere at my dad's place, thinking about putting in it on core2duo system, and use it in my room with some old tv

if you have it, you might as well use it. i hung onto a 1995 1MB S3 graphics card, and it's actually proven useful a bit ago.

 

EDIT: actually, load up HL2:lost coast or a similar benchmark, and run it trough its paces.

It's probably about as good as a 7770, so should be decent enough for very light gaming.
