Steam - disk write error

Was downloading batman arkham knight (don't worry i got it for $4 when i got a disk write error. but strangely every other game installs fine - even gtav which is 50-60gb big - on my 1tb hard drive. i actually wiped my hard drive the other day but i checked for errors and everything was good. 

 

i got a disk write error from max payne 3 as well

Check the disk again, just to make sure it doesn't have abad sector. That is strange.

not really sure. Partition the disk, install it again maybe it will skip that spot, long shot maybe.

i could try installing it on my ssd (have enough space on there), then move the files over to my hard drive.
