Static Electricity Help Needed

Go to solution Solved by HDawsome,

I always ground myself on my computer case... If your system is powered down, and the power supply turned off hooking up to your case should effectively ground you to your PSU (I could be wrong, and I invite someone to correct me if I am, But I believe this is a viable, not to mention convenient, way to do it)

it doesn't ground it, it has to be plugged in, the psu has connection to the houses earth main ground. Still i wouldn't worry, it probably does discharge when you touch the case but hangs out for a bit to dissipate.

Right :P I derped. Kepp it plugged in and you should be good to go, plus you're confined only to your case...which is what you're working on anyway

honestly there are so many resistors in the motherboard and gpu it could probably save it if you did get a ark. Its things like putting the cpu in that concerns me.
